There's nothing else like this in Seattle — and there never has been.

Our legacy

Nine decades of neighbors trusting us with the animals they love. Our hospitals aren't a chain — they're landmarks. The clinic your grandparents brought their first dog to is still here, still independently owned, still answering the phone.

No corporate office decides how we practice medicine. The people who own these hospitals are the veterinarians standing in the exam room — and that changes everything. We do this work from the heart, for the creatures, out of pure love for the animals and the people who bring them in. It's why families stay with us for generations, and why a visit here feels less like an appointment and more like coming home.

Good questions

Wondering if one of our hospitals is right for you and your pet — or how to join the team? Start here.

What forms of payment do you accept?+

Our hospitals require payment at the time of service. We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

What if I can't afford my pet's care?+

Please visit our sister non-profit, the Rainier Animal Fund. Its mission is to help ensure veterinary care is accessible to Western Washington families, and it maintains a library of other non-profit resources that may help.

Do you recommend pet insurance?+

Highly. Insuring your pet as early as possible safeguards them in the event of unexpected or emergency care. Providers recommended by our team include Embrace, Figo, HealthyPaws, Lemonade, Nationwide, PetsBest, Pumpkin, and Trupanion.

Are rebates or discounts available?+

Yes — we pass manufacturer discounts and rebates on preventive and prescription medications along to you. Ask your pet's hospital for a list of current rebates and promotions.

How do I apply for a job?+

Apply online, email your cover letter and resume to jobs@vetroots.com, or mail a hard copy to Veterinary Roots, Attn: Human Resources, 815 Rainier Ave. S, Seattle, WA 98144.
